On Friday 12th September four of us visited the Thames Sailing Barge Trust at the Hythe Quay in Maldon and were allowed onboard the barge Centaur for a photo session. Our host Tim from the trust was very helpful and gave us some very interesting insight into the history of the barge and the renovation work that the trust is undertaking. After an hour or so on the barge we made our way to the Lakeside Kiosk for coffee and bacon rolls!
